Dr Gillian Teh
Dr Teh is a Ministry Of Health (MOH) - accredited Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastics surgeon currently practicing at Asia Pacific Eye Centre in Singapore. Her areas of expertise include general ophthalmology, with a subspeciality focus on Oculofacial surgery and aesthetic procedures.
She graduated from the Royal Free and University College Medical School in London and subsequently pursued specialist training at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). Upon completing her Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology, she then pursued further subspecialist training in Oculoplastics as a fellow at SNEC. She then practiced full time at SNEC as a consultant in general ophthalmology and Oculoplastics, until her departure for private practice in 2024.
During her years at the SNEC, she was regularly involved in teaching medical students, Ophthalmology residents and allied health professionals. She conducted Graduate Diploma courses for ophthalmic nurses and was a lecturer and course instructor in multiple microsurgical courses for trainee ophthalmologists. She previously also held an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor with Duke -National University Singapore (NUS) Medical School. She has given lectures and talks at regional and international scientific conferences; and her research work has been presented at both local and international scientific conferences.
She is passionate about community and charity work and was previously on the Philanthropy and Development committee at the SNEC. She has been on the organizing committee for the SNEC VisionSave Eye Ball since 2015, and to date, holds the position of co-Chair of the annual event.
