Dr Shubhra Goel
Award-winning celebrity and gold medalist, Dr. Shubhra Goel is an oculofacial plastic and cosmetic surgeon practicing in Hyderabad. She is India’s first and youngest to have received dual fellowships from India and the United States.
She is a key opinion leader for GMV Italy’s Plasma Plexr in India and was the first to introduce it in the country. She is also the only oculoplasty surgeon in India to have been trained by world-renowned celebrity dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi.
She is the only Indian doctor to have been trained by leading doctors in the United States—Dr. Cat Burkat, Dr. Mark Lucarelli, Dr. John Rose, and Dr. Brad Lemke—under a long-term fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, founded by Dr. Dortzbach, widely regarded as the godfather of oculoplastics worldwide.
She was the first oculoplasty surgeon to be appointed as a trainer for Botox and fillers in the Asia-Pacific region by the Allergan Medical Institute. She is also among the top 10 Indian oculoplasty surgeons to be inducted as an International Associate of ASOPRS (American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery).
A sought-after speaker, she has delivered numerous talks at national and international conferences, sharing her insights and expertise. Her achievements include the prestigious Ambassadorial Rotary Scholarship, recognition as the best outgoing national and international fellow, and the FICCI Award for her impact on the aesthetics and cosmetic surgery industry.
She holds the esteemed accreditation as a member of the ELITE CIRCLE of ZO Physicians, awarded for her dedication to advancing Dr. Zein Obagi’s skin health principles and philosophies.
Dr. Shubhra has also been honored as one of the top 10 women surgeons in India by Women Entrepreneur magazine and is a recipient of the Women Entrepreneurship Award. She has served as a section editor for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology.
In addition, she has received the American Academy Achievement Award and the Innovation Award from the Women Ophthalmic Society, among others, recognizing her proactivity as an innovator and teacher.
Her past and present positions include serving as Chief and Head of Department at Sankara Nethralaya Eye Institute, Centre for Sight Eye Hospital, and Apollo Hospitals, as well as CEO of FACE. She has also served as an executive member of OPAI (Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Association of India).
She has been invited to educate and train at various institutions, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge and best practices in her field.
