Dr Susan Cheong
Dr. Susan Cheong is a dual-certified, licensed doctor in both Mainland China and Macao. She currently serves as an Attending Physician at Macao Yinkui Hospital and also practices at an aesthetic plastic surgery hospital in Shenzhen. She received her PhD in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery from Nanfang Hospital (ranked No. 3 nationally in plastic surgery), Southern Medical University, and earned her Master’s degree in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital (ranked No. 1 nationally in plastic surgery), Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She is a resident member of ISAPS.
Her clinical and academic work focuses on regenerative aesthetics, collagen biostimulation, facial contouring, periorbital and male rejuvenation, and extracellular matrix (ECM)-related research. She integrates Eastern and Western aesthetic principles to achieve natural-looking results. With more than 10 SCI-indexed publications, she also serves as a peer reviewer for academic journals. One of her papers won second place in the First Best Paper Competition jointly organized in China by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and MEVOS. She has also been invited to co-author a book chapter on regenerative medicine in plastic surgery with international plastic surgeons.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Cheong has been actively involved in global medical engagement. She previously served as an International Medical Liaison in China and has nearly a decade of experience in simultaneous interpretation. She currently serves as an International Medical Interviewer and News Center Host for the International Congress, conducting English-language interviews with international experts and industry leaders. Through these professional activities, she facilitates cross-border dialogue on global trends in plastic surgery, aesthetic medicine, and anti-aging medicine.
As an international speaker, she has been invited to present at leading conferences, including IMCAS, AMWC, SIME, AMSC, IMAAC, and INSDV–ARUNA, as well as the GBA Medical Aesthetic Tourism Summit, among others. She has delivered presentations in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
In collaboration with international humanities scholars, she creates interdisciplinary content drawing on perspectives from different countries and cultures to explore plastic surgery, aesthetic medicine, anti-aging medicine, and their connections with society and cultural history (IG: @drsusancheong; WeChat: Drsusancheong). In recognition of her international influence, she was honored with the Most Internationally Influential Doctor Award 2026 at a major medical aesthetics, fashion, and culture event in China.
