Dr. Sylves Patrick is a Senior Medical Lecturer and Ophthalmologist at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). He completed his Doctor of Medicine at UMS and went on to earn his Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Following his subspecialty training, Dr. Sylves was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Fellowship Training (CCFT) in Oculoplastic Surgery by the Ministry of Health Malaysia. He has extensive international experience, having completed an APSOPRS-approved International Oculoplastic Fellowship at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea, as well as a Fellowship in Oculoplastic, Orbital, and Lacrimal Surgery at Aichi Medical University Hospital in Japan.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Sylves is actively involved in academia, contributing to peer-reviewed medical journals and serving as a reviewer for various medical publications. He is also dedicated to community health, regularly participating in cataract surgery outreach programs and eye screening initiatives across the north of Borneo.
