Dr. Sylvia Ramirez is the Medical and Scientific Director of Cutis Medical Laser Clinics in Singapore. She has over 20 years’ experience in aesthetic medicine, chronic disease epidemiology, nephrology, and transplantation both in the United States and internationally. She is still US Board Certified in both Nephrology and Paediatric Nephrology. She was lead investigator for multiple US based research projects including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Disease Management Demonstration for dialysis care and the Quality Incentive Payment Demonstration for chronic hemodialysis. Dr Ramirez was also a lead investigator for a 24 country international outcomes study with publications serving as the basis for clinical practice guidelines in nephrology around the world.

Dr. Ramirez undertook extensive training in aesthetic medicine and completed a degree in Dermatology from Cardiff University and also graduated in 2018 with Distinction from the Master of Science - Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics – a joint program by the Anglia Ruskin University, UK and Allergan Aesthetics.

Dr. Ramirez won the Best Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation Award and was Top 3 in Non Surgical Body Contouring at the AMWC Monaco and was again Top 3 in Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation and Non Surgical Body Contouring in 2023.

Dr. Ramirez has received the Gold Award for Best Medical Aesthetic Specialist for three consecutive years (2020-2022) in the Expat Living Reader’s Choice Awards and her clinic was also recipient of multiple awards from Allergan Aesthetics in 2022.and 2023, as well as for Merz Aesthetics from 2019-2023.

Dr. Ramirez has authored multiple scientific papers and book chapters in the field of nephrology and published three original research papers in the field of non invasive medical aesthetics in 2021 and 2022 and in the process of completing a 4th (interventional) study in medical aesthetics.

Dr. Sylvia is a frequent speaker and her Asia Pacific Lecture on “Clinical Differentiation of Botulinum Toxin A Preparations” has been featured in an Allergan Aesthetics newsletter that was translated into several languages and distributed to aesthetic doctors in Asia Pacific. She had also been invited to talks and lectures at different conferences, including the Society of Aesthetic Medicine (Singapore), the Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery Conference (AMSC), and The Malaysian Society of Aesthetics (MSA), and most recently the World Congress of Dermatology 2023 to name a few.
