Dr Yap Lok Huei
Dr. Yap is the Head of the Plastic Surgery Department at Prince Court Medical Centre, providing a comprehensive range of plastic and cosmetic surgery services in central Kuala Lumpur, including facial, nose, eye, and body procedures, as well as skin cancer management. He currently serves as Malaysia’s National Secretary to the Rhinoplasty Society of Asia and is a full member of several international plastic surgery associations.
A fully accredited and board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Yap trained extensively in the UK, US, and Japan. He completed clinical fellowships at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London. Additionally, he trained in microtia reconstruction at Akiba Hospital in Tokyo. Previously, he was a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust and currently serves as a Sessional Consultant at Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He has received multiple prestigious awards, including the British Journal of Plastic Surgery Prize, Ethicon Foundation Fund Bursary, and the British Association of Plastic Surgeons Travelling Fellowship.
Dr. Yap specializes in breast augmentation (implants and fat grafting), eyelid surgery, brow lifts, abdominoplasty, thigh and arm lifts, and body contouring. He is also recognized for precise liposuction using waterjet technology.
In his aesthetic practice, he offers minimally invasive treatments, including muscle relaxant injections, fillers, lasers, fat transfers to the face and hands, and cell-based skin and body rejuvenation.
Passionate about postgraduate education, Dr. Yap regularly conducts courses on eyelid surgery, filler applications, and cartilage-based microtia reconstruction.
