Penang, 20 April 2024 – The AMSC24 Penang Roadshow marked the first leg of the Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery Conference & Exhibition (AMSC) Malaysia, held at The Light Hotel, Penang. The event gathered aesthetic doctors and general practitioners from Penang and nearby regions for the sneak peak of the actual conference of AMSC Malaysia 2024 in September later.

The day began with registration, breakfast, and networking, followed by insightful sessions covering key topics in aesthetic medicine. Ms. Elizabeth Tyra from My CytoHealth Sdn. Bhd. discussed the potential of regenerative medicine in aesthetics, while Ms. Frances Chan from KL Wellness City highlighted global wellness and medical tourism in Malaysia.
Dr. Masilamoney, the President of the Malaysian Society of Aesthetic Medicine (MSAM), provided updates on the aesthetic medicine industry and LCP guidelines. After lunch, Ms. Yen Yee Wong from BTL Industries Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. presented on Exion-4 in 1 Endless Possibilities, followed by Ms. Anna Karennina from Orient Europharma (M) Sdn. Bhd. who shared the Anti-Aging Product Portfolio.

The event also included updates on the management of vascular occlusion with dermal fillers by Dr. Edmond Lau from MSAM. The roadshow concluded with an update session on AMSC Malaysia 2024, which will take place on 20 & 21 September 2024 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event ended with an exciting prize giveaway of conference passes to AMSC Malaysia 2024 for three lucky winners.

Beyond the talks, the exhibition hallway was buzzing with delegates visiting exhibitors to inquire directly about innovations and products in medical aesthetics. By having a close-up look and contact with the displays, the doctors were able to get important information for their professional practices.
All things considered, the roadshow provided a good balance of industry insights, networking opportunities, and education. It also created a good foundation for upcoming AMSC events in Malaysia and generated enthusiasm for this year’s big two-day conference and exhibition.
