Dr Yvette Marie Santiago-Gatmaitan
Dr. Yvette Marie B. Santiago-Gatmaitan completed her clinical fellowship in Orbit and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School in Boston. She is the immediate past president of the Philippine Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Secretary of the Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is also a Councilor of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology (PAO). She is the head of the Orbit and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery sections of 3 institutions: St. Luke’s Medical Center, Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center, and Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, where she is actively involved in their Ophthalmology residency training programs. Dr Santiago-Gatmaitan is an Assistant Professor in St. Luke’s Medical Center- College of Medicine.
Dr. Santiago-Gatmaitan is regularly invited to deliver talks on her subspecialty at local and international Ophthalmology conferences, webinars, and meetings. She is also an author of several international Orbit textbook chapters and peer reviewed journals. She was former editor-in-chief of eFocalPoint, PAOs official newsletter, and is now the head of publications and library for PAO, managing FocalPoint and the Philippine Journal of Ophthalmology.
